You will be Hiking, Cycling, white water rafting and enjoying Game Drives during this 09-day tour. It’s all about Sri Lankan style adventure. What to Expect

This itinerary is designed for active travelers who enjoy a mix of nature, culture, and soft adventure. Expect early starts on some days, moderate travel times between destinations, and several outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, rafting, and safari drives. Accommodation is a combination of comfortable hotels and unique stays including a tree house, guest house, and tented camp, offering a more immersive Sri Lankan experience. A moderate level of fitness is recommended, especially for Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Adam’s Peak, and Ella Rock hikes. Comfortable walking shoes, light clothing, sun protection, and a small day bag are highly recommended.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival to Negombo

Welcome to the Pearl of the Indian Ocean!

You will be greeted by our Sri Lankan representative at Airport and will be guided you to the Car and take you to the hotel in Negombo which is about 30 Minutes’ drive.

Depending on your arrival time you may be able to do a quick city tour if time permits.

Check-in and relax after a long flight.

Negombo is a popular fishing village & some call this the “Small Rome” so you have more to explore tomorrow.

Your overnight stay will be at a 3-star Hotel in Negombo

Day 02: Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Wake up to the sound of the sea breeze. Enjoy your breakfast & start your journey to Sigiriya.

Climb the Sigiriya rock fortress in the evening which is nearly 200 Meters in height, this will open your eyes about the ancient Sri Lankan architecture where you will see Water gardens, boulder gardens, art galleries & ruins of the castle and witness the sun rise as well.

In the evening you can do a soft Hike to Pidurangala rock to witness a beautiful sunset from top.

Rerun to the hotel and relax.

Day 03: Enjoy a Cycle trail through the backroads

Today you will do an exciting Cycle Ride through the back roads of a Habarana village.

You will cycle along the gravel roads passing by the local village houses. Stop by a village house to taste a herbal drink and have a snack. There after you will enjoy a Catamaran boat ride in a lake where you can witness both Sigiriya and Pidurangala rock at the same time. You will end the ride with a Sri Lanka rise & curry lunch in a Mud hut in the village.

In the evening visit Dambulla cave temple which displays the ancient stone carving & Painting skills of Sri Lankans craftsmen.

Return back to your tree house and relax.

Day 04: Travel to Hill Capital

Today after the breakfast you will travel to Kandy, the Heritage city.

In the afternoon start to discover Kandy city by visiting Temple of tooth relic which is the most respected religious monument in Sri Lanka.

You can also witness a colorful cultural show performed by the local traditional dancers.

Day 05: Adventure Day for Rafting & Hiking

Today you will travel to Kithulgala to enjoy an adventurous White Water rafting session.
This will be once in a life time experience for you and the river is famous for its location where the “Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed in 1957.

After a thrilling time travel to Adam’s Peak.

Check-in to the hotel and at late night start climbing Adam’s Peak to witness the next day morning beautiful Sunrise.

Your overnight stay will be at a Guest house in Adam’s Peak.

Day 06: Travel to Famous Ella

Early morning climb up the Adems Peak mountain, after climbing down Adam’s peak today you will travel to Ella, the famous location for magnificent views, mountains, waterfall.

You will be hiking to Ella Rock in the afternoon where you have beautiful views from the top. You will pass by the famous Nine Arch bridge during this hike.

Later arrive at the hotel and relax yourself after a continuous hiking day.

Day 07: Game Dive at Yala National Park

Today after the breakfast you will travel to Yala to visit the famous national park to spot Leopards and Wild elephants.

On the way stop by to witness Rawana water falls and Ella Gap.

Continue your journey to Yala & in the afternoon enjoy a game drive at Yala National Park.

After an exciting safari you will check-in to the Camp site in Yala for your overnight stay.

Your overnight stay will be at a Tented Camp in Yala

Day 08: Travel to capital Colombo City

Enjoy your breakfast in the wild and today you will travel to the Colombo, the capital city for your last night.

On the way pass by the Stilt fisherman and stop at Galle Fot to explore the Dutch Fort and its colonial buildings.

Continue to Colombo & check-in to the hotel.

Late evening explore the Colombo city on your own.

Day 09: Departure to Airport
